Three steps for you as the administrator, then the rest of the team gets going on their own.

  1. Create your account at fortnox.sidcom.ai. The organisation owns your company links, team and billing, and the 7-day free trial starts here.
  2. Activate the free app in Fortnox App Market for every company you want to be able to link.
  3. Invite the team under Members at fortnox.sidcom.ai and give each of them a seat.
  4. Then connect your own AI client, just like the team, in the step below.

Then the company is already in place, and only two things remain.

  1. Open the invitation you received by email and sign in with your email address.
  2. Connect your AI client in the step below. The first time, you sign in to each company's Fortnox with your own Fortnox user.

Connect your AI client.

This step is for everyone, administrator and team alike. Add the address below where your AI client manages connectors, sign in with your Fortnox account and link the companies you work with.

Open Settings → Connectors, choose "Add custom connector" and paste the MCP address above. The connect flow opens in a window where you sign in and link your companies. The video shows the flow (recorded for our single-company connector, the steps are the same, use the address above).

Connectors are managed in the browser version of ChatGPT. Turn on Developer mode under Settings → Connectors → Advanced, then add the MCP address above as a new connector. In a Business workspace, an administrator adds and publishes the connector before members can use it. The video shows both roles (recorded for our single-company connector, the steps are the same, use the address above).

Connection not working?

  1. 01

    Blocked mid-conversation?

    Ask your assistant to check your licence. It can always read your organisation's status, trial and seats, even when everything else is blocked, and tells you exactly what is missing.

  2. 02

    A module is missing?

    Fortnox does not widen access on an existing connection. If a module was added after you connected a company, disconnect and reconnect it, and tick the module in the picker.

  3. 03

    Permission errors despite full modules?

    Fortnox limits every connection to your own Fortnox user's permissions. A Fortnox administrator can adjust them under Settings → Administer users. Changes apply immediately.

  4. 04

    New tools not showing up?

    Your AI client caches the tool list. Refresh the tools list in the connector settings, or disconnect and reconnect, then start a new conversation.
